NHL 20 TIPS MANUAL
In a situation where you skating from south to north as an example, the manual aim doesn't take into consideration where your player is in relation to the goal. And really we're talking split seconds.Īlso, remember on thing. Like they've mentioned above, it's just a small timing thing, you'll soon learn it and know how much time you have to aim. having your stick a ready to shoot position you can start using your left stick again to aim.īecause anytime you move the hockey stick in a "shooting position" (by using the right stick as explained above) you are automatically no longer skating full speed with the left stick, you are aiming with it. pull it back for a slap shot, or out on your forehand side for wrist shot.Ĥ) When you are in the position of preparing for a shot, i.e. But let's say you're alone with the goalie or just have plenty of time to aim/shoot:ġYou skate in the direction you want with the left stick, thenĢ) you let the left stick go and your player goes into a glide.ģ) From that position you "prepare" for a shot with the right stick, i.e. Go into practice if you need some help getting used to holding the left stick backward, which is awkward when you think about it, pulling the stick back when your trying to shoot forward. It works ALOT less in 14 than earlier games, but you can still pull it off with good timing. If I have a open man on the other side or coming late, I love to use the slap shot low to the far pad, create a rebound for a one timer move alot. Around the hash marks, go high, in close, sometimes going low slides the puck five hole or under the pads, from the point, with traffic, aim medium, IE hold the stick to either side, but in the middle of the stick, not up or down.

Honestly its the aiming you need to worry about more than high low, learning when to go left or right for shots, then aiming high low is more a matter of where your player is. Ive always used manual, its just something you have to practice at and learn where and when each shot works. Anyone have some tips I could use to get better? When do I go high vs low? Etc.
NHL 20 TIPS HOW TO
I've been trying to learn how to use manual shot aim instead of auto, but there are games when I'm sure just horrible with it.
